Sustainable solutions with maximum benefit, high availability at low life cycle cost.

Do you want to learn how to get the maximum benefit at the lowest life cycle cost from your technical systems and products? Do you want to be able to handle overall commitments with a good margin and offer new aftermarket services?

Logistics Engineering and Management and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) is a way of predicting and dimensioning the maintenance resources a complex system needs during its expected lifespan to achieve the desired availability. Logistics Engineering and Management and ILS is strongly linked to Systems Engineering, requirements management and Asset Management and is supported by efficient Configuration Management.

The course consists of a preparatory online course and a practical course day in the whole class.

Preparatory online course
During the introductory online course, you will gain insight and understanding in the following areas:

  • Why Logistics Engineering & Management and ILS?
  • What are Logistics Engineering & Management and ILS?
  • How to apply Logistics Engineering & Management and ILS?
  • What are the building blocks of Logistics Engineering & Management and ILS?
  • What is LSA (Logistics Support Analysis)?
  • How to calculate availability and life cycle cost?
  • How to influence the design of the system?
  • How to dimension the maintenance solution?
  • How to create the conditions for effective maintenance?

Target group
The course is primarily aimed at those who are product owners, project managers, system developers, designers or technical administrators and similar roles who need a formal introduction to Logistics Engineering and Management and ILS. No formal prior knowledge of Logistics Engineering and Management and ILS is required. To assimilate the course, it is good if you have some experience of project work and system work. The course is applicable regardless of industry, but is primarily aimed at those who work with development or procurement in technology-intensive industries such as energy, defense, aerospace, automotive, engineering and manufacturing and the transport sector.
