ISO/ IEC/IEEE 15288, which has long been established in, among other things, the defense sector, is a standard that brings together “best practice” in the form of the processes needed to manage a technical system over its life cycle.
15288 is becoming increasingly important also in industry and public administration, as legislation and the market require that life cycle aspects be assessed in all major procurements.
