Proper and traceable product information throughout the life cycle!
The market’s demands on the functionality, performance and customer adaptation of technical products are constantly growing. The processes for developing, producing and maintaining technical products are thus becoming increasingly complex. This presupposes full control and traceability of the growing amount of product information. More about this in the course Configuration Management.
Configuration Management (CM) is an established and proven way to ensure correct product information, check changes, establish traceability for design-influencing decisions and get an overall picture of a system’s configuration.
The aim of the course is for the participants to gain knowledge and understanding of CM and why it should be applied in complex system development projects from a system and life cycle perspective.
In the course Configuration Management, which we arrange in cooperation with Edlegio, you get, among other things, deeper knowledge of:
- CM’s role in the organization
- CM’s activities
- What configuration objects are and how they are identified
- What basic configurations / baselines are and how they can be used in the business
- What conditions are important for being able to run CM
- What is important to consider when it comes to IT support for CM
- How to build an organizational ability for CM
The course consists of one part with theory focus which can be run remotely and a one-day workshop, with the possibility to attend online. As a participant you can choose to buy the theory part or theory part + workshop.

- Systems Engineering & Lifecycle Management (the framework for how you go from need to solution)
- Requirements Engineering (how to translate needs into requirements and manage these over the life cycle)
- Configuration Management (how to keep track of the situation and handle changes)
- Logistics Engineering and Management (how to create the best conditions for efficient operation and maintenance).
