Sweden’s public sector purchases goods and services for over 830 billion annually. This year, major changes in the area of public procurement is taking place. Firstly, Sweden has a new authority (Upphandlingsmyndigheten) that focuses on procurement. There is also substantial changes to the law which will affect areas such as the environment, sustainability and social responsibility. This has an effect on the buyers way of working.
Upphandlingsdagarna 2016 is the largest annual conference and meeting place for those engaged in the public procurement field. The event is taking place over the span of 2 days (27th to 28th of January, 2016) at the Kista Expo in Stockholm.
