About the course:
The market’s demands for the performance of technical products, specialization and customization is increasing all the time. As a consequence, the processes of developing, producing and maintaining technical products is increasingly complex. Configuration Management (CM) has been established as the fundamental and universally recognized discipline to control the product, manage changes and to ensure the integrity and traceability of design changes and decisions.
This 2-day course provides an introduction to CM – how CM can be applied in a life cycle perspective and how CM is related to Systems Engineering, Project Management and Information Management. We also present a CM Capability Model, which can be used to evaluate and develop CM in an organization or project.
