During this 2-day course you will be introduced to principles of ILS/Logistics Engineering management and the most common and effective methods used as part of an overall systems engineering effort.

About the course

When designing complex and costly assets, sustainability and cost effectiveness are critical ­characteristics that have to be managed from a through life perspective. Logistics Engineering is a fundamental aspect with the goal of optimizing system availability and life cycle cost. To achieve this, structured management philosophy, methods and tools are vital.

During this 2-day course you will be introduced to principles of ILS/Logistics Engineering management and the most common and effective methods used as part of an overall systems engineering effort.

Target group and previous knowledge

This course is for anyone involved in projects or programmes related to the acquisition or ­supply of complex technical systems.

A basic knowledge of system design and support issues within your own organ­ization.

Objective

The aim of the course is to give a fundamental overview of Logistics Engineering; Management, Techniques and Methods, in an Acquirer and Supplier context with particular emphasis on the Life-Cycle/Through Life approach to Support Solution Development, optimization and implementation.

This course is for anyone involved in projects or programmes related to the acquisition or supply of complex technical systems.
