Last Friday Afternoon, 47 satisfied students left Utö in Stockholm Archipelago, after an intense week. During 6 days, Sunday til Friday, both teachers and students have been working hard to get the most out of this unique experience. In a combination of lectures, discussions, group work and networking activities, conciousness and the ability to manage complex system over it´s lifecycle has increased.
We have started early in the mornings with some sort of physical activity (so you wake up properly, you know). We have been swimming, canoeing, biking and fishing. The day´s have been filled with knowledge building and after dinner we have used the evenings for group work. Hard but fruitful. On Thursday evening, the whole gang took the boat to Dalaröskans and listned to an inspiring lecture from Mattias Ribbing – Grand Master of Memory. We were stunned. He gave us an task to improve our memory – think of “Ribbing´s Bike” four days in a row. So, now you just have to remember to think about the bike…
We would also like to issue a warning:
A week at Summer School often inspires to change, something that could be a challenge in everyday life, even at the technically greatest organizations that our participants come from. We have heard that some of the participants are suffering from “post course depression”. We hereby call our alumni to continue the exchange to avoid this state. At the same time, we ask bosses and coworkers for your indulgence – and hope to see you in one of our future courses 🙂
Thank you all for a fantastic week!
